The Bionic canvas contains yarn made with a 50% organic cotton outer wrap, 38% recycled PET core and 12% HT polyester to provide increased strength, abrasion resistance and decreased dry time. This shoe also has an OrthoLite polyurethane footbed made with 5% recycled rubber to provide all-day cushioning and support, Crash Blaster technology that provides shock absorption and energy return, and a Green Rubber outsole made from 42% recycled rubber. This style exemplifies strong efforts at utilizing environmental values, and received the Timberland Green Index rating, and major components used to make this were at least 50% leather tanned in a facility rated Silver or higher by a third-party environmental audit.
